Need A Little Help...
Hey gang,
I have been stuck for weeks now on 315. I have been eating right, and doing everything as best as I possibly can to this point. Any advice on how I can start the scales up again? Below is a sample of what I eat on a daily (Religiously):
Breakfast:
1 Packet of Oatmeal w/Splenda
3 slices of Turkey Bacon
Lunch:
1/2 to 1 can of Healthy Request Chunky Soup
Snack:
1 to 2 oz of Beef Jerky
Dinner:
Varies: Mostly High Protein Soups/Veggies/Beef or Chicken
Any ideas???
Thanks,
Preacher Mike

I just talked to my nutritionist about leveling off or worse yet, gaining.. and she said, to let her know if anything happened, because she would want to look at my food journal, and my exercise log.. so while I wish I could help, all I know to do is take your food journal and exercise log to your nutritionist and see if they can help you re-vamp to get you over the hill.
Good Luck!!!!!!

Hi Amy,
That is wonderful advice to Mike….
Hi Mike,
Mike, your nutritionist and WLS staff will have all your information on file, for example the meds you are taking etc… When counseling with you they not only review with you your food journal and exercise log but they also go over your meds and your medical issues (if there are any) and they will make those adjustments accordingly.
Don’t be afraid to call them and talk to them about this. That is what they are there for and they want to hear from you. They want you to succeed. It takes a team (or a village…LOL) and each part of the team you chose plays an intricate part in your WLS journey…
Hi Mike, first of course you should ALWAYS follow the diet recommended by your surgeon, I do have a couple of suggestions. I would stop the soup - that's really the equivalent of drinking with your meals. I would get rid of the oatmeal, it's just the right consistency to slide through quickly without giving a feeling of fullness. Do you eat eggs at all? 1-2 hard boiled, poached, scrambled or fried with cooking spray would be a good breakfast alternative. Tuna, salmon, tilapia, chicken, turkey baked, broiled or even the foil wrapped packets are great for lunch - quick, easy and very portable in case you're traveling. Lean deli meat, such as chicken, turkey or ham are good options too, you may even include these foods in your breakfast options. You really want to focus on lean, nutrient dense proteins for the majority of each meal - they will fill you up quicker with fewer calories and keep you feeling full longer. Also, make sure you are not drinking with you meals - not even a sip or two.
Best of luck!
Best of luck!
